Alone Synthesis
The idea for “Synthesis” was born while I put together my “Alone” collection. Searching for the absolute minimal, the essence of the protagonist’s relationship with his environment, I experimented with graphic elements in my photography. And I fell in love. The form language of minimal abstract art is paired with the story of real people. This series is the essence of what I want to express with my art.

New Realms
A recurring element in my photography: Man steps out of the dark into the light. Not only visually a very appealing theme but also as a story super exciting. Entering new realms, discovering new possibilities, full of courage, caution, and curiosity. Starting a new phase, or even changing your life is represented by this simple visual that everyone can relate to.

The Unknown
Entering a dark and unknown space is always scary, whether in the physical world or representative of an unknown chapter in life or a challenging experience or time ahead.
But the darkness can also have something warm and safe. It can give you the feeling of being protected and free simultaneously.
It represents both an unsafe and safe space for your mind and body.

Crossing
Crossing the street with your shopping bag to walk home. This simple, everyday event is transformed into an abstract work of art. And that’s what this piece is about. The contrast between the dynamic movement and the rigid, geometric environment, the shadow cast, and the splash of color all create a unique tension in this scene.

The Musician
A snapshot of life. Where does this musician come from, and where is he going? We meet him in just one moment of his life, not knowing of his path behind or in front of him. The light only reveals a few seconds of his way, and immediately he has disappeared again into the darkness of the unknown.

Entrance
Berlin subway entrances are often quite small compared to the surrounding architecture, which illustrates the contrast between the enormous urban environment and the space actually used by ordinary people.
It seems like an entrance to a vast unknown world – hidden in the darkness.

Time
Time is the pacemaker of our life. We are small and powerless over it and subordinate our being to it. Every appointment, every phone call, every step we take is clocked in on the constantly circling wheel of time. The oversized clock shows the importance we place on time. And I actually didn’t change the proportions in the underlying photo.

I kept returning to this piece’s draft even after I had already finished my ALONE Synthesis collection. So I decided to finalize it anyways. And as I collected so many fantastic works of art through super affordable editions, I decided to do precisely that. So here is my mixed media piece, “Carrying,” for 0.008 ETH per edition. The ALONE Synthesis series is about the relationship between a single human and the urban environment. Stylized to emphasize the contrast between my living, breathing object and the artificial environment. And why “Carrying”? It feels like this person is carrying much more than the two bags. This creates a melancholy and almost sadness around them, a recurring theme in this series.
